Thanksgiving Week

rudolphLast night, at the November Bits ‘n’ Pieces meeting, Tracy and I wrapped up the 2013 Kid’s Quilt challenge project. Members brought in a total of 74 quilts made from the brown bag challenge packets. I know of another 8 to 10 quilts that will come in during the next month so we felt that the challenge was really successful. All of these quilts will be donated to children in the hospital. Susan, the Cover our Kids chair, had arranged a guest clown who made some festive holiday head wear for some of us.

This very bright quilt resulted from a PMQ block exchange. I finally got it quilted and am now trying to decide where it will eventually end up. It might be an auction quilt or it might be a donation quilt, we’ll see. Either fate will be a good cause!

Now I’m off to peel 5 pounds of potatoes! We’re hosting 11 family members for Thanksgiving. I’m grateful that everyone brings part of the dinner so I don’t have to make everything! I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving full of good company and good food!
