I’m on my way tomorrow to Houston! I’ll be spending a week learning, shopping, seeing friends I don’t see very often and looking at quilts. At market, I’m going to attend Schoolhouse, sample spree and a couple of classes. I’ll also check out what is new from the wholesale vendors. I’ll come away with lots of ideas for new classes. I like to look at the quilts during market too because they aren’t crowded at all.

When Festival starts, I’ll be taking 3 full day classes.  On Monday I’ll be taking Stupendous Stitching with Carol Ann Waugh where I’ll be making this sample.

On Tuesday, I’ll be in Abstract-i-licious with Lyric Kinard where we will make a small art quilt. Here is the sample.

Finally on Wednesday, I’ll be in Decorative Stitch Applique with Sarah Ann Smith making leaves! Wednesday night the retail show opens and I’ll have lots of time Wednesday evening and Thursday to check out those vendors. There is always lots to do and see and lot’s of inspiration!

Can’t wait to see your class projects that you took at Houston. I love the colors of the samples. Thanks again for ordering my quilting table while you were so busy with all your activities there. I miss not going to Houston. I’m sure glad I had the opportunity when I was working to attend many years.
