Wow! I was on a teaching streak this week! On Wednesday, I taught Machine Applique at The Quilted Fox. On Friday, I taught Painless Paper Piecing, also at The Quilted Fox. The group above is busy preparing their pieces for their paper pieced blocks.
Friday evening I drove to Cape Girardeau to teach the One Block Wonder Quilt on Saturday for the River Heritage Quilt Guild. Twenty very fun ladies took the workshop and all did a great job. It was fascinating to see the different fabric selections turn into amazing blocks. My thanks to Mary for making all the arrangements for the workshop. The hall was a perfect space with lots of table space for everyone to spread out.
Thanks also to Vicki for hosting me at her beautiful home. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of her quilts. I also learned about her project of making 1000 little dresses for African girls. She is currently within 40 dresses of her goal! For more information on this project see Little Dresses for Africa.
I’m hoping to get photos of the quilts when they are finished. I do love to see the finished projects from my classes.
