Back to sewing

Finally, I’ve done a bit of sewing. I quilted the quilt above for the Bits ‘n’ Pieces Cover our Kids project. It will go to a child in need of a comforting quilt. The quilt top was made by someone else and donated. I just quilted and bound it.

I’ve also been working in my Habitat challenge for St. Louis Modern Quilt Guild. I’m making these cute little dresden plates. They are ready to get centers and to be appliqued to the background blocks. That’s the next project. The quilt is due in mid-October!

It’s a busy week. I’m teaching Machine Applique and Painless Paper Piecing this week at The Quilted Fox. Then I’m heading to Cape Girardeau to do a One Block Wonder workshop for the guild down there. I went down last year to do a talk about the quilt technique and they decided they wanted to try making it. In my spare time, I’m remodeling the laundry room–more about that later!
