In early 2010, a group of fiber artists, now known as the Rambling Art Quilters, came together to work on a group project. The members are all from Missouri. Each of the 15 fiber artists, created a small quilt that included a river made from a common fabric. When hung in a row, the river runs through all of the quilts.
My quilt featured the Grand Canyon, since my husband and I rafted the canyon in May.
In January and February, the exhibit can be seen at the National Great River Road Museum in Alton, IL. http://www.greatriverroad.com/cities/EAlton/riverMuseum.htm

a group from the magic valley quilters are trying to make picture quilts of the snake river to display at our quilt show in the spring, I’m having a hard time finding information on making these kinds of quilts. Your display was helpful.
