It’s almost fall and I’ve hardly posted all summer! It’s been super busy but I have managed to work in some sewing. I also made a short trip to California to visit Beth but I’ll post those picture later. For now, let’s see what’s been happening in the sewing room!
I finished this chevron quilt which will go to a new home next week. I made it as a wedding present for our niece, JoAnna, who is marrying Spencer next week. Because of their dog, they didn’t want a bed quilt. This one is a large lap quilt.
This little boy’s quilt is already in Moore, OK where our new great-nephew is now home with his family. He was born very premature and weighed only 1 pound 11 ounces. He is now up to almost 7 pounds! Here he is with big brother Noah.At the end of July, I went to a quilt retreat with friends. I completed this quilt top which is still waiting for the quilting! This is the Movement in Squares pattern by Wendy Sheppard. The boxes are all made from Marcia Derse fabrics. I’m quite pleased with how it came out. The piecing was a bit complicated but not too hard as long as I was paying attention! Now I just have to decide how to quilt it.
